Restricted free agent Miles Bridges will only miss 10 games next season, the NBA announced Friday. The league finalized its investigation of his domestic violence arrest and gave the former Charlotte Hornets star a 30-game suspension, crediting him with 20 served this past year.
Bridges, 25, was hours away from signing a contract extension with Charlotte last offseason, which was derailed when the mother of his children, Mychelle Johnson, shared photos of her bruised face and blamed the player.

Despite Bridges pleading no contest to the felony charges, the NBA continued its internal investigation, but the outcome is baffling.
The 30-game suspension without pay is exactly what Stephen Jackson received in 2004 for punching a Detroit Pistons fan at the infamous “Malace at the Palace.”
Bridges, meanwhile, reportedly fractured his partner’s nose and wrist, gave her a severe concussion and choked her until she passed out, among other injuries.

Bridges and former Hornets teammate, LaMelo Ball, were on their way to building something special in Michael Jordan‘s team.
Now that Charlotte no longer wants Bridges, he’s essentially free to sign wherever he wants.
The Los Angeles Lakers have previously been linked to landing Bridges, who would arrive at a discount price due to off-the-court trouble.
Whichever team lands Bridges, if any, will need to deal with his three years of probation and 10 games suspended.
