The champion Los Angeles FC will begin the defense of the first franchise title in “El Trafico” on February 25 against the Los Angeles Galaxy, the day on which the 2023 MLS season will begin. Thus, the 29 teams will begin their journey in a regular campaign that will end on October 21, before the survivors continue their fight in the playoffs.

MLS announced this day the schedule for the 2023 season and it will begin in the best way, with a duel where the reigning champion LAFC, with Carlos Vela and Gareth Bale, will begin the defense of its title against LA Galaxy, where another of the league’s stars, Javier Chicharito Hernandez, plays.

For this season there will be a debut, as the league’s 29th team will make its debut: Saint Louis SC, another sign that soccer in the United States continues to grow.

What is MLS Season Pass?

Another novelty that MLS will present is that all its matches will be broadcasted on Apple TV, a ten-year agreement that is expected to be successful. MLS Season Pass is an unprecedented subscription service available in more than 100 countries that will offer live broadcasts and replays of all MLS regular season matches, plus the Audi 2023, MLS Cup Playoffs and Leagues Cup.

It will cost $14.99 per month or the entire season for $99, in a season that will begin with the match between Nashville FC and New York City FC, which will kick off at 16:30 (ET), while “El Trafico” will start at 21:30 (ET).

How to watch the games in the United States?

FOX Sports will broadcast 34 games in 2023, including 15 games on FOX and 19 games on FS1, with all FOX Sports broadcasts also in Spanish on FOX Deportes. The game schedule for Canada will be released in the coming weeks, with at least one game per week featuring a Canadian team.

The 2023 MLS All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, July 19 at Audi Field, home of DC United. The opposing team for the MLS All-Stars is still unknown and will be announced at a later date.

The 2023 MLS season will have a hiatus between July 15 and August 20, when all 47 MLS and Liga MX clubs will compete in the Leagues Cup. MLS will resume on August 20.
