In the 2023 summer transfer window, Jude Bellingham will be one of the star players who could move club, as several of Europe’s top sides are interested in him.
However, no club has yet made a former offer for the player whose Borussia Dortmund contract runs until 2025.
“Jude has enjoyed incredible development here,” explained Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl in an interview with Kicker.
“With the way he plays football, with his combativeness and with his commitment, he has become a real Borussia Dortmund fan, someone who identifies very much with the club.
“There is no pressure at the moment. Jude wants to concentrate fully on football.
“And, by the way, there no offer has been made yet.”
Asked if the club feel a financial pressure to sell, Kehl admitted that they need to bring in money, but wouldn’t confirm that the sale of Bellingham is the club’s main plan.
“Of course, we need financial resources to sign new players, but we should not tie the issue to one player,” he added.
The race to sign Jude Bellingham
Even if no formal offers have yet been made, several clubs are working away in the background to try to secure the English midfielder’s signature.
Real Madrid are one of the teams most interested in Bellingham, and coaches and directors at the Spanish club are keeping a close eye on everything that happens around the midfielder.
They have been planting seeds for a long time and believe they’ve done all they can do to make the case to the Englishman, but they also know that Manchester City, above all, as well as Liverpool and PSG are also keeping an eye on the Englishman.
