Barcelona will not be starting their pre-season campaign against Juventus as, according to the club, a large part of the Blaugrana squad is suffering from viral gastroenteritis,
That means it’s impossible for them to play the game scheduled for Saturday evening in Santa Clara.
The team was scheduled to fly at 10.30 local time (19.30 in Spain) to Santa Clara to play their first match of their training camp, but had to change their plans.
The players who are not affected by this viral gastroenteritis will continue with their preparations.
There are still no details of a new schedule for the day, although the idea is that they will train separately.
As for the viral gastroenteritis, Barcelona have not given any further details regarding how this situation could have arisen.
It should be remembered that Jules Kounde was absent from the first double training session in Los Angeles due to stomach problems.
