Tom Brady is no stranger to getting cozy with Republicans, he shares many of the ideas people like Governor Ron DeSantis have. Given that he lives in Florida right now, TomBrady is reportedly texting with DeSantis back and forth. The New York Times first reported on this news early in Tuesday. It is still unknown what the content of these texts are about. But knowing how Tom Brady operates, it wouldn’t surprise us if he is trying to endorse the Governor for a possible candidacy to run for president.
DeSantis is considered the best option for the Republican Party right now, even better than Donald Trump. The report from the New York Times confirms that the communication between these two was discovered when DeSantis attended a Green Bay Packers game last month with Tim Michaels, the Republican nominee for Governor of Wisconsin. It was Tim who revealed this communication between Ron DeSantis and Tom Brady.
How did Tim Michaels reveal Brady and DeSantis’ connection?
It happened during a far-right event of the Lake Country Patriots, in Wisconsin. This is what Michaels said: “I took Governor DeSantis to the Packer game at Lambeau Field. We’re sitting there, you know, we’re watching the game and all of a sudden, I look over and he’s texting and he says, ‘How do you spell Lambeau?’ I say, ‘Who are you texting with?’ He says, ‘I’m texting with Tom Brady.’ The governor of Florida gets to text with Tom Brady.”
According to the New York Times, they weren’t allowed to this event but they did get a hold of a recording that proves Tim Michaels said that. Tom Brady and Ron DeSantis‘ representatives were asked about this relationship but none of them cared to answer. If this is true, it could mean that Tom Brady might betray former President Donald Trump’s trust by siding with his direct opponent in the upcoming primaries.
Ron DeSantis is known for his extremely conservative views on a wide variety of topics, he is also Governor of the state that handled Covid-19 with the least amount of precautions. For more than a year, the state of Florida had the highest rate of Covid-9 infections and deaths during the peak of the pandemic. DeSantis refused to shut downt he economy and small businesses like California or New York did.
