A video has gone viral showing Jozy Altidore slapping the hand of a person who was grabbing a video of the Club Puebla striker.
The United States international was spotted leaving a nightclub, when the man recording the video called the player ‘Chocomilk’, seemingly referring to the colour of his skin.
The clip, one which was published by Emparrillado Deportivo, shows Altidore leaving the nightclub with a woman.
It is unclear whether the 32-year-old hears what the individual said, but once he sees that he is being video recorded, he asks the person to stop taking videos.
Then, Altidore slaps the hand of the individual, who claimed on the video that he was a Club Puebla fan. The alleged supporter swears at Altidore, who turns around and says something back when the video ends.
The general director of the news channel En Linea Puebla, Paulo Yolatl, claimed that Altidore‘s violent reaction was due to the striker allegedly leaving the nightclub with a woman who is not his wife.
Altidore‘s partner is tennis player Sloane Stephens, who lost 6-3 6-2 in the second round of the US Open by Iga Swiatek.
