WNBA star Brittney Griner is at the centre of yet more news stories following a TIME Magazine cover that many claim to have been poorly produced.
Popular social media page Old Row Sports, posted the picturing highlighting the parts of the image that were edited.
Their post included the caption: “BRUH Time just dropped some high school photoshop onto the cover of their magazine.”
This sparked a wide array of responses, with online users still divided on Griner‘s arrest.
The post has so far racked up over 20,000 reactions and 23,000 comments
One commenter said: “They really put her on the cover? That’s sad and pathetic. Time is a joke.”
Another wrote: “Freedom? She had her ‘freedom’… she didn’t appreciate nor did she respect it… why should we care?”
Giner‘s arrest has been highly polarising. While sports stars such as Megan Rapinoe and Steph Curry have supported calls for her release, others such as former president Donald Trump have criticised the basketball star.
Griner pleaded guilty to drug possession last month and could face up to 10 years in prison.
